More than 20 years ago, a leading European plasma physics research laboratory selected Technix to replace legacy high-voltage power supplies from another manufacturer.
To ensure a seamless integration into the existing installation, Technix developed several 50kV – 20kW negative DC power supplies specifically designed to meet the laboratory’s requirements, including:
• Control interfaces and functions fully compatible with the existing control system
• Positive output isolated from ground up to 2kV
• High-voltage output cable compatible with the existing infrastructure
As part of an expansion project, they have chosen to order additional power supplies compatible with the existing setup, allowing them to increase their capabilities while maintaining continuity across the installation.
This project is a great example of the importance of long-term reliability, backward compatibility, and technical collaboration in demanding research environments. ⚡
