We recently had the challenge of designing and delivering two high-voltage DC power supplies for a high-power radar system. Each unit delivers 50 kV – 80 kW and had to fit into a very constrained installation space. To achieve this, we engineered compact rack-mounted solutions, fully optimized for integration.

🔹 Another major challenge was the need for a floating high-voltage return. Our design included an isolated negative output at 50 kV and a positive isolated output at 1 kV, combined in a master/slave configuration with oil-insulated HV stages.

Despite the technical complexity, the user experience remains simple: each output is connected with a single cable, designed asymmetrically to prevent any incorrect connections.

This project demonstrates how Technix transforms demanding technical constraints into reliable, user-friendly solutions for advanced radar applications.

Earlier this year, we delivered two floating 15V-180W filament power supplies rated at 30kV for a U.S.-based gyrotron application. Today, we’re proud to announce that this same customer has renewed their trust in Technix — this time for the complete power system of a gyrotron. 👏

Delivered as a pre-wired, pre-configured solution for seamless integration, the system includes:
• 30kV – 80kW Cathode Power Supply
• 15V – 180W Filament Power Supply (floating at 30kV)
• 20kV – 30kW Body Power Supply

What made the difference?
Our ability to engage in highly technical discussions and provide tailored, autonomous solutions — all with a harmonized remote interface that speeds up system integration on the client’s side. 🤝

Gyrotrons are increasingly critical in high-impact domains — from particle accelerators to fusion energy research — and Technix is proud to play a part in these forward-looking technologies.

Our footprint in the U.S. is growing stronger, thanks to our local presence and an increasing number of collaborations, especially with major National Labs.

We’re committed to delivering high-voltage innovation worldwide — and the U.S. is just getting started.

Today, more and more research and pilot programs are exploring the use of high voltage technology to extract water directly from the atmosphere — either through direct condensation or by inducing precipitation. This emerging approach could become a sustainable alternative to seawater desalination, which remains energy-intensive and infrastructure-heavy.

Imagine generating water exactly where it’s needed — particularly in arid and drought-prone regions. That’s the promise of atmospheric water extraction, and it’s already being tested at scale in several countries facing critical water challenges.

Technix is proud to contribute to one of these ambitious initiatives. We delivered five high-voltage DC power supplies (120kV – 1200W) to the Ministry of Agriculture of one such country. After the successful validation of a first prototype unit, the rest of the equipment was commissioned and is now deployed in the field for full-scale trials.

✅ Remote control via Ethernet
✅ High reliability and robustness in demanding environments
✅ Flexible design tailored to customer needs

Above all, it was the client’s trust in our engineering and quality standards that made this collaboration possible.

Here is a photo of one of the units installed on its test bench before deployment 👇
