Today, more and more research and pilot programs are exploring the use of high voltage technology to extract water directly from the atmosphere — either through direct condensation or by inducing precipitation. This emerging approach could become a sustainable alternative to seawater desalination, which remains energy-intensive and infrastructure-heavy.
Imagine generating water exactly where it’s needed — particularly in arid and drought-prone regions. That’s the promise of atmospheric water extraction, and it’s already being tested at scale in several countries facing critical water challenges.
Technix is proud to contribute to one of these ambitious initiatives. We delivered five high-voltage DC power supplies (120kV - 1200W) to the Ministry of Agriculture of one such country. After the successful validation of a first prototype unit, the rest of the equipment was commissioned and is now deployed in the field for full-scale trials.
✅ Remote control via Ethernet
✅ High reliability and robustness in demanding environments
✅ Flexible design tailored to customer needs
Above all, it was the client’s trust in our engineering and quality standards that made this collaboration possible.
Here is a photo of one of the units installed on its test bench before deployment 👇

Last march, we delivered a high-power test system, and now—we finally have photos to share!
📸 In the full setup photo, you can see:
• The two 120 kW power supplies (the two tall bays)
• The custom discharge bay, all connected and powered on to demonstrate the system in operation
🔍 The next two photos focus on the discharge bay:
• Everything is disconnected to show the interface connections
• One photo gives you a look inside the discharge bay, providing insight into what a high-power discharge resistor looks like—designed to safely dissipate the energy stored in the customer’s capacitor bank. This is a critical safety component!
This project is a collaboration with our local distributor for a German client, a leading manufacturer of high-power inverters used in electric vehicle applications. Their challenge? Scaling up their test capabilities by increasing both voltage and power levels.

On February 25-26, 2025, we had the pleasure of attending the FIA Annual Policy Conference in Washington, DC, as an official sponsor of the event. The Fusion Industry Association (FIA) plays a key role in shaping the strategies to make nuclear fusion a viable and sustainable energy source for the future.
💡 Why nuclear fusion?
It represents a game-changing energy solution for humanity—clean, virtually limitless, and environmentally friendly. This conference was a crucial opportunity to engage with key industry players on the latest advancements and upcoming challenges.
Our equipment plays a vital role in critical nuclear fusion applications:
⚡ Plasma stabilization systems (Gyrotron)
🔥 Ignition systems
🔋 High Voltage and Pulsed Power applications
Our U.S. representative, Steve, was on-site to showcase our solutions and connect with industry experts. We are proud to contribute to this energy revolution and thank everyone who stopped by our booth!

We have successfully manufactured two DC power supplies with a rating of 150kV and 45kW.
One unit has a positive polarity, and the other one has a negative polarity. Reaching such a high power and a high voltage is a new milestone for Technix.
We investigated new components and new arrangements to design this power supply, and delivered to our customer a solution that fits his requirements. The application is high power pulsed X-Ray, for a german university.
