Electron gun systems require high-voltage and multiple low-voltage power supplies isolated at the cathode voltage, working together with exceptional precision. To meet these requirements, Technix developed a fully custom multi-output power supply for an Asian manufacturer specializing in electron gun technology.
The system integrates several dedicated power supplies into a single solution:
• Cathode power supply: 60kV – 40kW
• Filament power supply: 20V – 15A (isolated at 60kV)
• Bombardment power supply: 2.5kV – 100mA (isolated at 60kV)
• Auxiliary power supplies (all isolated at 60kV): +15V – 0.5A, -15V – 0.5A, +9V – 6A, +150V – 100mA, -100V – 30mA
A key feature of this system is the set of auxiliary power supplies, which are used to precisely control the electron beam, enabling greater beam penetration.
For more than 12 years, this customer has continued to rely on Technix for the production of these highly specialized power systems. ⚡
